Why is this cleanser so great for those curls, kinks and coils or yours? It’s because it’s a little more than just a cleanser! This cleanser can be used to get rid of all the build-up on your scalp and hair while at the same time keeping your precious curls hydrated. Let’s face it – curls need all the moisture they can get. Since hydration is super important for naturally curly hair, this cleanser is packed with lots of "good stuff" for your hair like Coconut Oil & Aloe and let’s not forget that it’s also water based - the best kind of moisturizer!

If you're a dedicated co-wash user, because co-washing does not give the same "clean" as a regular cleanser, try using this as a “Clarifying Shampoo” about once every couple of weeks or whenever your scalp needs a good cleanse.

HOW TO USE

Apply to wet hair. Part your hair in 4 parts so you can easily access your scalp. Use a quarter size amount for each parted section and gently massage into your scalp. Rinse out thoroughly and the cleaner will cleanse your strands while rinsing, without stripping moisture. Repeat if necessary.

CURLY REMINDER

The amount of lather and bubbles does not equal how clean your hair will be! Focus on working the product into your scalp and not the amount of bubbles created.

Why we choose the ingredients we do:

FRUIT EXTRACTS

Isolated from sugar cane, lemon and apple, these extracts offer natural exfoliation action through a-hydroxy acids promoting cell renewal of the scalp. Its naturally low pH helps ensure that hair proteins are kept hard and more resistant to breakage.

COCONUT OIL

One of the few oils that is able to deeply penetrate the hair follicle. This product is a Holy Grail product that has moisturizing, strengthening and anti-itch properties all on its own.

______

INGREDIENTS

Aqua, Sodium C14-16 Olefin Sulfonate, Cocamidopropyl Betaine, Aloe Barbadensis Leaf Juice, Glycerin, Caprylyl/Capryl Glucoside, Cocoglucoside, Caprylic/Capric Triglyceride (Coconut Oil), Polyquatinarium-7, PEG-150 Pentaerythrityl Tetrastearate (and) Aqua (and) PEG-6 Caprylic/Capric Glycerides, Hydrolyzed Oat Protein, Ananas Comosus (Pineapple) Fruit Extract, Cetrimonium Chloride, Phenoxyethanol (and) Caprylyl Glycol (and) Sorbic Acid, Citrus Grandis (Grapefruit) Oil, Lavandula Angustifolia (Lavender) Oil, Fragrance.

Can I use this everyday?

No, this is more of a clarifying shampoo. Instead, use our Coconut Cream Conditioner as a co-wash (conditioner-wash).

Should I use this for all over my hair?

We don't recommend that because you don't want to strip your hair of its natural oils. Instead, use just on the scalp and as you rinse it will lightly cleanse your strands as well.

Why do I need to shampoo my scalp?

Cleansing without stripping

As someone about a year out of bleaching my natural hair, it’s been a struggle finding a cleanser strong enough to work on my (unbleached) natural roots without further stripping and badly drying the more damaged bleached ends I’m aiming to keep as healthy as possible. This cleanser fits so well into the middle ground, cleansing without leaving my hair a stripped graveyard to slap conditioner onto afterwards (and leading me to need to use cleanser more often than truly necessary for my hair type to control the oils created by excessive leave ins + conditioning). Super enjoying it so far and hugely surprised at how little product goes a long way as I have thick hair. Definitely recommend this for others with 3c-4a/b curls and coils who may be looking to switch cleansers as well as those who have heat treated / bleached curls and coils. As a first-time customer who has reservations whenever trying new haircare products, I’m very satisfied!

Great

Bought for my daughter with fine (but a lot of) hair. She just lets her hair dry naturally, and so far it has far less frizz.
