DESCRIPTION
Lather up your curls with our ultra rich Shampoo Balm. This cleansing balm is the perfect start to your wash day routine if you're looking for a gentler alternative between your clarifying wash days. This sulphate free formula is gentle enough to not strip your hair's natural oils, but still provide a clean base for styling. This product is great for naturally thick curls, coils, kinks or drier hair types.
HOW TO USE
Start by thoroughly rinsing your hair with water to loosen up any product build-up. Part your hair in 4 sections so you can easily access your scalp. Use a quarter size amount for each parted section. Lather shampoo in hands and then massage into your scalp. Rinse out thoroughly and the shampoo will cleanse your strands as it rinses out. Follow-up by saturating your hair with a rinse-out conditioner, such as our Butter Cream Conditioner.
PRO TIP: If your scalp has a lot of build up, try using our Coconut Clarifying Cleanser as a clarifying shampoo about once every couple of weeks. You can alternate between our shampoos depending on your scalp and hair needs!

FAQ
Do I still need to use a clarifying shampoo? Yes! This shampoo is great for in between clarifying days, however you'll still need to clarify your scalp and hair about once every 2 weeks to really remove product build up. If you're looking for a more clarifying option, try our Coconut Clarifying Cleanser.
Can I use this everyday? Although it is a gentle formula, it's still not recommended to wash your hair daily since this product does contain cleansing attributes. Instead, use our Coconut Cream Conditioner or Butter Cream Conditioner as a co-wash (conditioner only wash). Co-washing is a great way to give your hair a little pick-me-up when you don't want to completely re-wash it.
Should I use this all over my hair? There is no harm in using this all over your hair, however the focus should only be the scalp. As you rinse the shampoo out, it will run down your hair and clean the rest of your hair strands.

My second bottle over the past couple of years. Follow instructions and you're gong to get great results. I have curly (ringlets) hair and I wanted something to hold in the curls thru the day but without feeling like I had a pile of goop on my head. Took a chance on CurlShoppe and haven't looked back. Does exactly what I had in mind, even better than expected (but I didn't really know what to expect).
I dampen my hair (say, in the morning), rub a tiny bit (half a tsp?) thru my scalp, grab breakfast, then tussle my hair. Boom! Curls are there and they stay the whole day. Rub your fingers thru (your) the hair and it feels like hair, not some kind of compound. Impressed and very satisfied (repeat) customer.

I've been using the Butter Shampoo Balm for about 3 weeks now, and so far so good. No allergic reaction of any kind. Some shampoos I've used have led to scalp irritation and bumps/hives. No issues here!!! A quarter-sized amount is all I need for each application. (I cleanse 2x in the shower every 3rd day). My hair is wavy and just below shoulder length. Glad I found this Butter Shampoo Balm. I absolutely LOVE that this is a Canadian company (found them through an article on the Chatelaine magazine website), which is why I decided to give CurlShoppe a try. I was not disappointed!
what can you say about a small tub that produces mega results. Absolutely phenomenal. I used for the first time and I was blown away. It was everything and more. I certainly did not need the amount I used, so I will be more careful next time. Love it for travel and convenience. Packs some power. I watched this on YouTube, so I knew I liked the concept. It exceeded my expectations. Keep up the good work. Don't change the formula, unless it packs more for our hair. Thank you so much!

I use this shampoo along with the clarifying shampoo and I’ve been loving the results. It creates a nice lather and is very moisturizing. It washes out and leaves my hair and scalp feeling very clean.
