About Our Collections

Coconut Is Everything was our very first collection and was designed to have at least one product for every curl type. From wash day staples (which includes our best selling Coconut Clarifying Cleanser and Coconut Cream Conditioner) to styling options that ranged from lightweight to heavy, there was something for everyone. We always knew this collection wouldn't be the solution to every curl need, but our goal was to create a starting set of products with go-to staples.

Now that our product lines are fully launched, Coconut Is Everything features our most lightweight products generally speaking in comparison to the others. Those with low to normal porosity or finer hair types tend to enjoy using these styling products more. 

Soon after our first collection, we launched our Butter'd Up collection with the goal to fill in any product gaps for those with thicker, tighter and more thirsty curls. This collection features wash day and styling products with more moisture, more richness and more hold for those who need it. Our Butter Jelly (Medium Hold) and Butter Styling Gel (Max Hold) are two of our best selling styling products amongst  our community, including our online store, professional stylists/salons, and beauty supply stores.

Those with normal to high porosity or thicker hair types, tend to enjoy and benefit from these products the most.

Our For Men collection was always something we wanted to offer at CurlShoppe simply to give men thoughtful products that they can confidently incorporate into their hair/beard care routines. A lot of the haircare products are very comparable to counterparts found in the Butter'd Up collection, but with a unique ingredient and scent profile. Our beard care products are also quite popular and feature a softer and more subtle scent compared to others on the market. We found beard care products tend to come in a standardized "cologne" scent and wanted to offer our products from a different perspective. (Actual product development question we asked: What would WE want to smell on our significant other's beard?)

This collection is simplified to styling products only, whether that's the hair on your head or the hair growing on your face. Those looking for a simple haircare routine that doesn't lack in moisture or performance, but provides a more masculine touch tend to gravitate to this collection more.

Our latest collection, For Kids, was designed specifically for those curly headed little ones in your life. We wanted to take a very simplified approach ingredient wise when developing these products while still making sure that they weren't lacking in moisture or performance. This collection also features two products that are unique to themselves which is the Detangling Spray and the Curl Cream (think of it as a moisturizing cream and gel in one).

This collection is also simplified to styling products only, and as your little ones grow we encourage you to slowly start introducing products found in our other main collections. Those looking for a simple haircare routine that doesn't lack in moisture or performance, but provides a more gentle touch tend to gravitate to this collection more.

When designing our collections it was our goal to make sure we offered something for every curl, porosity, and texture type. Although each collection was designed to work together, we always encourage our community members to mix and match across collections until they find their perfect regime.
