This Leave-in Conditioner is the perfect styling base for any hairstyles you have the time and energy to try. From Wash ‘N Gos, to braids, to those lazy buns, the Butter Milk has you covered. This Leave-in is designed to add those moisturizing and strengthening properties back into your hair after your rinse out conditioning step. Thicker curls and kinky hair will benefit from its moisturizing, non-sticky formula.

Use after the rinse-out Butter Cream Masque or Coconut Cream Conditioner. Depending on your length of hair and/or thickness, use amount as desired and work through hair from tips to roots (but don't apply directly to scalp). Follow up product to this as a next step would be the Butter Soft Pudding to layer in the moisture.

Moisture, moisture, moisture! It’s very important to have a moisturizing base for all curly hairstyles.

Why we choose the ingredients we do:

Rosewater is a natural moisturizer that aids in making your hair shinier, softer and healthier overall. Also, because Rosewater is antibacterial, it reduces dandruff and promotes a healthy scalp.

Panthenol acts as a humectant, which in simple terms means it retains and preserves moisture within the hair shaft. It also makes the hair shaft smoother, which not only aids in detangling, but also makes the hair shinier.

This butter is widely-known as the most moisturizing and go-to natural butters there is for dry and thicker hair textures.

INGREDIENTS: Aqua, Rosa Centifolia (Rose) Flower Water, Glycerin, Behentrimonium Methosulfate, Cetearyl Alcohol, Butyrospermum Parkii (Shea Butter), Cetrimonium Chloride, Polyquatinarium-7, Panthenol, Persea Gratissima (Avocado) Oil, Sweet Prunus Amygdalus Dulcis (Sweet Almond) Oil, Phenoxyethanol (and) Caprylyl Glycol (and) Sorbic Acid, Topopherol (Vitamin E), Vanilla Planifolia Extract, Rosmarinus Officinalis (Rosemary) Leaf Extract, Lavandula Angustifolia (Lavender) Oil, Fragrance.

Can I use this everyday?

Yes, but it's not recommended because of potential product build-up (having too many products sitting on your hair/scalp). Rather, choose our Coconut Water Refresher as a daily pick-me-up instead, as this product is much lighter but will still hydrate your hair.

Will this give my hair shine?

Yes it will! Nice and not too thick, finger coiling with this product will give you soft, shiny hair = no crunch.

Will this hold my curl?

Not necessarily. Although this product will help define your curls, you may still need the help of a styling Jelly or Gel to get the hold you're looking for. We offer a variety of styling products depending on the strength of hold you're looking for.

Check out our Coconut Jelly for Soft Hold.

Check out our Butter Jelly for a Medium Hold.

Check out our Butter Styling Gel for a Max Hold.

Can I use this if I'm transitioning?

Yes, this is the recommended leave-in for you as it's thicker than our Coconut Milk Leave-In and will help give extra moisture to your two textures.

Butter Milk Leave-in Conditioner

This is a great leave-in, it's light but really moisturizes the hair. I'll will definitely be repurchasing :)

This leave-in really left my hair feeling soft and moisturized. I bought the 8oz container and I suspect it will last awhile. The scent is nice and light and doesn't linger. I used this for a braid-out and followed up with the butter soft pudding and the max hold gel and got great results. My hair feel soft and moisturized. Will definitely re-purchase!

Best leave in conditioner ever

I have a combination of 3B 4A hair and this stuff truly does moisturize my hair strands. As usually it smells amazing and the consistency is so light that it doesn't way down my hair when I use the butter soft pudding afterwards. Highly recommend!!!!

Not good as the coco line

I prefer the leaving in from coco is everything:
The butter up one, I had to wet my hair before apply if I don't: my hair would be dry.
Very moisturizing but I like leaving In conditioner which hydrates and moisture in the same time.

Hey Jessica. Yes, this product is definitely to be applied when your hair is still damp. It acts as a thicker moisturizer in comparison to the Coconut Milk Leave In Conditioner. It's not meant to re-hydrate hair as it's too thick to layer in hair when it's already dry! So you're absolutely right, the Coconut Milk is better as a 2-in-1 (hydrator and moisturizer) but this product is definitely a heavier moisturizer for thicker curl types!
