Butter Shampoo Balm: Part your hair in 4 sections so you can easily access your scalp. Use a quarter size amount for each parted section. Lather shampoo in hands and then massage into your scalp. Rinse out thoroughly and the shampoo will cleanse your strands as it rinses out. Follow up with the Butter Cream Conditioner or Butter Detox Clay Masque.

Butter Cream Conditioner: Depending on your length of hair and/or thickness, use amount as desired and work through from ends to scalp. Use a styling tool of your choice to help detangle and evenly coat your hair with the conditioner. Rinse well and style as desired.

Butter Clay Masque: Add this to your curls twice a month for extra nourishment and a good curl reset. Apply to clean, wet hair. Use your fingers or a wide tooth comb to evenly distribute the product. Once evenly applied, use a shower cap to trap in natural heat for 15-30 minutes. Rinse out thoroughly and style as desired.

Butter Milk Leave-in Conditioner: Apply to damp hair. Depending on your length of hair and/or thickness, use amount as desired and work through hair from your ends to scalp. Follow up with one of our Jellies/Gels for definition and hold. If you're doing a protective style, follow up with our Butter Twist Pudding.

Butter Twist Pudding: Apply after your Leave-In Conditioner. Rake and smooth throughout damp hair, focusing on the ends or drier areas of your hair. Our Styling Brush is great at detangling and making sure each strand is evenly coated. Once evenly applied, twist or braid hair as desired.

Butter Jelly (Medium Hold): Apply after your Leave-In Conditioner. Rake and smooth throughout damp hair with your fingers or our Styling Brush. Once evenly worked through hair you may finger coil, scrunch or style as desired. Best to let hair air dry, but help of a diffuser may speed up the process.

Butter Styling Gel (Max Hold): Apply after your Leave-In Conditioner. Rake and smooth throughout damp hair with your fingers or our Styling Brush. Once evenly worked through hair you may finger coil, scrunch or style as desired. Best to let hair air dry, but help of a diffuser may speed up the process. Once dry, you can follow up with our Butter Oil Blend to gently scrunch ends to soften curl cast.

What curl type is this collection best for? The Butter'd Up formulas are slightly heavier and richer because of the butters and oils used throughout. Due to this, it is overall geared towards tight curls, coils and kinks or hair with normal to high porosity levels.

If you have fine hair or a loose curl pattern with high porosity we recommend just grabbing our Butter Styler Trial Set instead! These particular Butter'd Up products are more universal to all curl types.

Do all of these products work together? Yes! Although you don't need to use every product in one session, all of these products were formulated to complement and work together. Mix and match until you find your perfect routine.
